Summit tour: Suld-Rengglipass-Morgenberghorn-Brunni-Suld

From the starting point at Restaurant Gasthaus Suld, Suldtal, continue over the Rengglipass to the Morgenberhorn; from here start the descent over the Brunni to return to Restaurant Gasthaus Suld, Suldtal.

The route requires a head for heights and surefootedness. There are safety chains to hold onto at the most precarious points. The hike, which offers stunning views at every turn, calls for a good level of fitness.

The tour corresponds to difficulty level T3 on the SAC scale of demanding mountain hikes.

• Wear sturdy hiking shoes with a good grip
• Use trekking poles for demanding mountain tours
• Wear clothing suitable for the weather
• Don't forget rain gear
• Take a backpack with a picnic and water
• Protect yourself with sunglasses, hat and sun cream
• A small first aid kit for injuries and blisters is recommended
• Take your smartphone with you in case of emergencies
• Pack as little as possible and as much as necessary.

A bus runs between Aeschiried and Suldtal at weekends during the summer season.  Check the operating hours in advance.

Coming from Bern on the motorway, follow the signs to Thun/Spiez. Leave the motorway in Spiez and, at the roundabout, take the exit towards Hondrich Aeschi. Follow the main road until you reach the roundabout in Aeschi. Continue straight on towards Aeschiried. Follow the road until you reach Aeschiried school (Schulhaus Aeschiried). Follow the signs to Suldtal.

Paid parking is available at Aeschiried school. Paid parking is available at the entrance to Suldtal. You can drive as far as Restaurant Pochtenfall. Various small paid parking areas are available along the route. The parking meter at the entrance to Suldtal is also the payment point for these spaces.

Take the train to Spiez and from there take the PostBus heading to Aeschi/Aeschried (line 62) as far as the Aeschiried Schulhaus stop (terminus). On Saturdays and Sundays from July to October, you can take the bus from Aeschried Schulhaus to Suldtal.
